Dr. Brockman is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist and laser specialist who works with our younger patients to manage their complex conditions, such as severe atopic dermatitis/eczema, psoriasis, mastocytosis, and morphea. He has a particular interest in hemangiomas, pediatric surgery, and laser procedures to help improve his patient outcomes.
Dr. Brockman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico and went to medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency at OHSU Dermatology in Portland, OR. He concluded his training with a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital/OHSU. Dr. Brockman is board-certified in both general dermatology and pediatric dermatology.
Working with pediatric patients, Dr. Brockman understands the importance of helping children feel comfortable. He likes talking about their best friends, pets, home and hobbies to create a fun and engaging environment where he can fully understand what’s bothering them before discussing treatment options. His goal is to ensure that every child and family feels included in the decision-making process.
When not working, Dr. Brockman enjoys traveling with his husband, hiking, kayaking and playing with his golden retriever. Cooking is Dr. Brockman’s creative outlet and he enjoys experimenting with Asian and New Mexican-inspired cuisines. He also enjoys frequenting live concert venues, Pacific Northwest breweries, and major league soccer games.
