LASIK is our most popular vision correction procedure and is designed to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. LASIK surgery reshapes the cornea using a laser to deliver a safe, gentle beam of energy.

If LASIK is the right choice for you, you can feel confident knowing we employ the latest technology – all-laser LASIK – for a procedure that’s safe and ensures your best possible outcome. Your LASIK surgeon will be with you from your initial consultation to your post-surgical visits, so you can be sure you’re in the best of hands.

PRK is similar to LASIK in that it uses the same excimer laser to deliver the visual correction, and it has a similar outcome for excellent vision as LASIK does. Since no flap is made, patients will have a slightly longer healing period with a couple extra days of scratchy feeling eyes. Some patients prefer PRK because it is a quicker procedure than LASIK and it involves less cornea tissue removal. Additionally, it may not evoke as much anxiety as LASIK might in certain patients.

Since certain patients don’t tolerate the LASIK flap-making silicone suction ring, we can seamlessly convert any LASIK procedure to a PRK procedure with the patient’s preoperative consent at the inital evaluation. Both PRK and LASIK are primary choices for laser visual correction for thousands of patients each year.

Refractive lens exchange (RLE) corrects nearsightedness and farsightedness using an intraocular lens implant. It is a good solution for patients who are too nearsighted, too farsighted or have corneas that are too thin for laser vision correction. RLE is also the procedure of choice for patients over 40 and patients who show signs of cataract development.
