Dr. Fu graduated with the highest possible academic honors (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Richmond and then went on to complete ophthalmology and subspecialty retina training at some of the most prestigious Eye Institutes in the United States. She actively contributes to the medical literature by authoring book chapters, original reports, journal articles and abstracts. Her primary research interests include the development of medications for the treatment of Age Related Macular Degeneration and the medical and surgical treatment of diabetic eye disease. Dr. Fu was described by her vitreoretinal fellowship director as a retinal surgeon of “superb surgical abilities and outstanding judgement.” She is on the Editorial Board and is a reviewer for the British Journal of Ophthalmology, one of the most important Ophthalmology Journals in the world. Dr. Fu will be available at the University Place office of Cascade Eye & Skin Centers for your continuing retinal eye care, and we strongly recommend her to you. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
